HAPPY BIRTHDAY MCKENNA

Our Precious Little One.....Turned 8!!
What a joy she is to our family. She is the sweetest girl! Always thoughtful and kind. She is so excited about turning 8 - because she will be baptized. She has been waiting for this day for a long time. Mckenna at 8 loves to have a good time. She is always full of a "good idea." She loves to play soccer, play with her friend Carter, being creative and doing crafts (however she doesn't like cleaning up the mess). She is an excellent student at school and rarely brings home anything less than 100%! Her favorite books to read are the Magic Tree House series. Her teachers say she is a joy to have in class. She loves playing in the snow especially when her Grandpa pulls her behind the fourwheeler. She could play outside forever if we let her. Oh blessed we are to have her in our family!

Mckenna chose to have a snowman thememd birthday. We used the shape of a 2 ball snowman - to represent the shape of an 8! It turned out really fun. At her friend party her Grandpa Jacobson pulled her friends behind his fourwheeler on sleds. They had a great time. Dad said it sounded like Lagoon!
She got lucky this year and got to have a family party too (thanks to Kellie, Sienna and Dawson staying in town.) We had a wonderful evening with all of the family. It's great to be 8!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St Nicholas soon would be there.

The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads.
And mamma in her ‘kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled our brains for a long winter’s nap.

When in the bathroom there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But Mia throwing up, oh the poor little dear.

We got her all cleaned up and back in to bed....
and then Kaden threw up all over his head!
On and on the night went as cleaned up the mess
But nothing could damper the Christmas spirit....I guess!!

My parents were brave and came and enjoyed watching the kids open their gifts despite the sickness that was floating around!

We enjoyed the holidays with the Willey Family. Brian, Katy, Travis and Kellie came home for Christmas. They were here the week before Christmas. We had a fun time with them all......unfortunately all of Matt's family ended up with the stomach flu! It will definitely be a Christmas we will remember!
