SUMMER HOLIDAYS

This summer we have spent the holidays doing "non-typical" activities. We spent the 4th of July in Bear Lake and July 24th in Park City. We did get to enjoy some holiday festivities at the Salt Lake Youth Parade. The kids favorite part was spraying the firetruck water hose.

BEAR LAKE

This is the famous Willey Wadi Tower. The kids always love to go up it. The Willey Family owns this cabin up in Bear Lake. Matt's dad help build it in his youth. We tried to get Matt's parents to venture up there with us but unfortunately Matt's dad had to work the holiday. We are really hoping that one day they will go up there with us and Matt's dad can tell the grandkids about all his adventures in building it.

To say the least, the water wasn't very warm up there. The kids mostly played in the sand and dug themselves their own "hottubs."

We took a hike up to Bloomington Lake while there. It is a glacier fed lake. You can see the snow on the mountains. My grandpa use to fish here and my mother came here as a little girl. My parents hiked up here the day before but were kind enough to take us back up there. It was a beautiful day that we finished off with a "Raspberry Shake."

PARK CITY

We cooled off from the heat of the summer with a trip to Park City for a few days. Most relaxing trip so far. All the kids wanted to do was swim. Imagine. I think after our Hawaii trip, 4 weeks of swimming lessons, Bear Lake and the pool at Park City.....our kids are gettting scales and fins! JK. I think Matt has a pretty good handle on the three kids.......

HAIRCUTS

The girls have been begging me all summer to cut their hair. We finally did it! It was sad to see all that hair chopped off but they both love it and that's all that matters.
